In collaboration with The Stygian Project, this installation and visualizations were experiment in both photographic technology and identity.

Creating a sort of visual barriers in identifying the subject was pertinent to inhibit the audience from understanding and connecting with what was being visualized.

Broken Interpretations of Self and Others

Each sculpture is the accumulation of partial images to make up a whole, but that whole is broken and incomplete. As a result, audience members can never know the true image of the person visualized. Audience members can reach out and peel back hanging transparencies to view the individual layers and that reaching experience is the key to engaging with the piece. Peeling back the layers illustrates the frustration that comes with trying to gain a better understanding of people past surface engagement.
